    The Erin Ijesha waterfall has seven layers technically placed above one another with water flowing among the rocks which runs down to the ground level. The sound of the cascading waters that blends with the natural and idyllic environment of the waterfall will leave a tourist awed.

    According to the history of the Erin Ijesha waterfall, a woman, one of the granddaughter of Oduduwa and the founder of Erin Ijesha discovered the fall in the year 1140AD during the migration of the people from Ile Ife to Erin Ijesha.

    The natives see this waterfall as a sacred entity and a source of purifying the soul, body and mind simply because water is believed to purify almost everything.
